TOD Not Working in Turkey: What Works in 2026
TOD not working in Turkey is a different problem from TOD not working inside MENA. Turkey is not a licensed TOD market, which means Turkish users face a full geo-block rather than the congestion issues that affect subscribers in the Gulf. The fix needs to get past the geo-restriction and also avoid TOD VPN-traffic detection.
Yes, you can watch TOD from Turkey. This guide explains why TOD not working in Turkey happens, what makes the Turkish situation distinct, and the proven solution for 2026.

How to Fix TOD Not Working in Turkey
- Get SafeShell VPN through our link and choose a plan — you are covered by the 7-day money-back guarantee
- Download the SafeShell app on your phone, laptop, Smart TV, or Apple TV and log in
- Switch on App Mode in the settings so the TOD app is routed through SafeShell
- Choose a server in the country of your TOD subscription, for example the UAE, Qatar, or Saudi Arabia

TOD in Turkey: Error Codes Explained
Error 2004 in Turkey: The primary geo-enforcement and VPN-detection error. In Turkey this almost always means TOD has detected either a Turkish IP or a datacenter VPN server. SafeShell VPN, with its dedicated TOD service, is designed to pass both checks.
Error 1400 in Turkey: Content access restriction, with the same underlying cause as error 2004. The same setup applies.
Error 1108 in Turkey: Session authentication failure. This sometimes appears after a VPN connection drops mid-session. Sign out of TOD completely, reconnect SafeShell, and sign back in. More detail in our TOD error 2004 guide.

Best VPNs When TOD Is Not Working in Turkey
1. SafeShell VPN — Editor’s Choice
SafeShell VPN is proven to work with TOD. It offers a dedicated TOD service, App Mode for streaming apps, its own ShellGuard protocol, and no bandwidth limits, which matters during a 90-minute live match.
One subscription covers up to 5 devices, including Smart TV and Apple TV apps. Every plan comes with a 7-day money-back guarantee. Try SafeShell VPN risk-free here.
2. CometVPN Native Residential
CometVPN routes your connection through real home internet addresses in the UAE or Qatar with its Native Residential option. TOD is far less likely to flag a household IP than a datacenter server, which makes it a strong second choice.
Native Residential data is billed per GB on top of the base plan. A full HD football match uses around 3 to 5 GB, so use it only while you watch TOD.

Why Is TOD Not Working in Turkey?
TOD TV is geo-restricted to MENA countries under beIN Media Group broadcasting rights agreements. Turkey is not included in the TOD distribution territory, so TOD not working in Turkey is a deliberate geo-block, not a technical fault.
Sports fans who subscribed to TOD while living or working in the Gulf often face this when they return to Turkey or travel there. An active TOD subscription does not override the geo-restriction — TOD checks your IP address on every stream.
According to Sports Video Group reporting on beIN Premier League rights, beIN holds exclusive MENA broadcast rights through the 2027-28 season. Those rights do not cover Turkey, where separate broadcast agreements are in place.
Why Standard VPNs Fail for TOD in Turkey
Until November 2025, connecting a VPN to a UAE or Qatar server solved TOD not working in Turkey instantly. TOD simply checked whether your IP address was in a MENA country.
The TOD system now also analyses traffic patterns and IP reputation to identify datacenter servers used by major VPN providers, and returns error codes 2004, 1108, or 1400 when it finds one. That is why we recommend SafeShell VPN, which runs a dedicated TOD service and keeps its servers updated for it.
Why is TOD not working in Turkey?
TOD not working in Turkey is caused by a geo-block — Turkey is not in the TOD MENA territory. Since late 2025, TOD also blocks standard VPN datacenter IPs. SafeShell VPN, which runs a dedicated TOD service, is the proven way around both.
Does a VPN work for TOD in Turkey?
Standard VPNs stopped reliably working for TOD in Turkey after the November 2025 detection rollout. A VPN built for TOD, such as SafeShell VPN with App Mode, works because it is maintained specifically for the TOD app.
Can I watch TOD on Smart TV in Turkey?
Yes. SafeShell VPN has apps for Smart TV and Apple TV. Install the app on your TV, connect to a server in your TOD region, and open TOD.
